BS 593 spirit 昀椀lled laboratory thermometers
The following laboratory thermometers are an ideal instrument where greater precision and accuracy is needed.
These thermometers have been developed as spirit 昀椀lled alternatives to the mercury 昀椀lled BS 593 Speci昀椀cation
Laboratory Thermometers. They are instead 昀椀lled with a Low Hazard non-wetting blue liquid, except those marked
with a * that are 昀椀lled with gallium. The A series thermometers have divisions of 0.1°C and the B series divisions of
0.2°C. Both series are available in both 100mm and total immersion.
All these thermometers can be suppled with UKAS (0582) calibration certi昀椀cate or statement of conformity on

All our laboratory thermometers can be supplied with full UKAS (0582) certi昀椀cation on request.
Our facilities conform to (BS) EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 – ‘General requirements for the competence of testing
and calibration laboratories’. For temperature measurement our laboratory can calibrate all types of liquid-inglass thermometers i.e. both spirit and mercury.
Certi昀椀cation is available for test temperatures between
-60°C and +250°C.
